Government records incorrectly kill off thousands, and there’s no easy fix

Wasn't there was a humorous-dystopian science fiction film with this plot -- the government says that a person is dead, and that person vigorously disagrees?

Wow, that's a cool word I haven't heard in a long time.

And it seems the world is becoming increasingly DYSTOPIAN as time rolls along.

Maybe the next species to achieve sentience will get it right...

I do remember a TV movie about a man who for various reasons tried to fake his own death and couldn't do it.. then getting so tangled up in the repercussions of his fake death that, at the end of the movie, he screws up things so badly that he accidentally DOES get killed. O_O
