Ten Steps to making an Excellent Gay Movie

Forget the phrase "Gay" in his title. [info]neo_prodigy writes ten steps that can apply to almost any artistic endeavor.

And eight of his ten points boil down to one clear, simple truth:

Tell the story, and stay far away from cliches.

It's a well-written essay, period.

Thought I do agree with his major points, he lost me on his exemplars. Quentin Tarantino a "cinematic heavyweight"? The Breakfast Club a masterpiece? Russell T. Davies a great gay storyteller? Hint to Torchwood fans: if you're someone who doesn't have any interest in shagging John Barrowman, the show is basically unwatchable.

Now that was a good read. I found the snark rather well-proportioned to the points. Thanks for the link.

Virtuality coming out tonight. I wonder how close or far from that we're going to get from it...
